How to fit a Pilates or yoga class into a busy day in Dubai
Between work, traffic and plans, it's hard to commit to a class three days ahead. Here is how to fit Pilates or yoga into a full week, without planning everything in advance.
Stop planning a week ahead
The classic way is to book on Sunday for the whole week. Then a meeting moves, a dinner comes up, and you cancel. The other way: decide on the day, when you know you're free, and book a class a few hours before.
Four moments that work
- Early morning, before work: the day starts with something done, and traffic is lighter.
- Lunch break: a 45-minute class near the office, if your schedule allows it.
- Straight after work, before going home: once you're on the sofa, it's harder to leave.
- The weekend morning, to start the day well.
Choose a studio on your way
In Dubai, the distance is often counted in minutes of traffic, not kilometres. A studio near your office or on your way home is the one you'll actually go to. On the Map page, you see the classes open around you.
Book at the last minute, pay less
On Spotd, classes open 12 hours before they start, and you can book until 40 minutes before. The closer the class, the bigger the discount:
If your plans change, cancellation is free up to 2h30 before the class.
Two classes a week is a good rhythm
It's realistic, even with a busy job. And on Spotd, 2 classes in a week give you Priority the next week: classes open for you 1 hour before everyone else.
